Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: Foundation. Main source(s): Novo Nordisk Foundation Background Patients with pulmonary disease may have altered hemodynamic compared to patients without disease. We hypothesize that these pre-existing significantly elevated arterial pressure during the first 48 hours ICU-stay. Methods The BOX-trial was an investigator-initiated, randomized, controlled study targeted MAP (63 vs 77 mmHg) and PaO2 (9-10 13-14 kPa) interventions in 789 comatose OHCA (of presumed cardiac origin) patients. Pre-existing, significant recorded at baseline. underwent serial assessments artery catheter time insertion (0 h), 6 h, 12 24 36 h h. Among parameters output (CO). Pulmonary pressures central venous were measured continuously. Patient characteristics included age, return spontaneous circulation (ROSC) initial rhythm. Results Hemodynamic from 730 analysed, which 89 (12%) had Of these, 57 (8%) COPD, 26 (4%) asthma (1%) non-obstructive older (66±12 62±14 years) similar ROSC (20±14 23±16 minutes). Initial shockable rhythm present 73/89 (82%) 580/641 (90%) without, p=0.015. At hours, mean (27±5 24±6 p<0.0001, see Figure 1), systolic (36±7 33±8 p=0.0004), diastolic (21±5 18±5 p<0.0001) all higher for than without. This association remain statistically significant, when adjusting primary rhythm, age. Also, heart rate (72±21 66±17 bpm, p<0.0056) Cardiac index (cardiac adjusted body surface), mixed saturation CVP between groups. Conclusions Pre-existing resuscitated OHCA-patients is associated pressures.

Right ventricular Hemodynamic Alteration after Pulmonary Valve Replacement in Children with Congenital Heart Disease

Introduction:  In patients who underwent surgery to repair Tetralogy of Fallot, right ventricular dilation from pulmonary regurgitation may be result in right ventricular failure, arrhythmias and cardiac arrest. Hence, pulmonary valve replacement may be necessary to reduce right ventricular volume overload. The aim of present study was to assess the effects of pulmonary valve replacement on rig...
